Agri-Business Management Trainee (Operations)

Job Description Program Overview:Our Management Trainee Program is designed to develop future leaders by providing hands-on experience in key areas of our business. This is a structured 6-month program that will offer broad exposure to the different facets of our organization and the opportunity to work on a high-impact capstone project. We offer two cohorts of management trainees annually, with one class starting in January and the other in July.Program Structure:First 3 Months - Rotational Experience: During the first three months, trainees will rotate through critical departments to gain an understanding of the end-to-end operations and vertical integration of our business. Trainees will be exposed to:Live OperationsProcessing OperationsSales, HR, Accounting, IT, Transportation, Procurement, and other support departments.The goal is to provide a comprehensive view of how these departments interact and contribute to the overall success of the company.Last 3 Months - Capstone Project: In the final three months, each trainee will focus on their specific functional area. They will be tasked with developing and executing a capstone project that addresses a key business challenge or opportunity within their department. This project will culminate in a presentation to senior leadership and executives, along with the next cohort of management trainees.Post-Program Placement:After the 6-month program ends, trainees will be placed in available positions within their functional area. If no position is immediately available, the trainee will continue working in their current capacity until a suitable role becomes available. Agribusiness Trainees will fill roles such as; Agribusiness Specialist, Assistant Grain Facility Manager, and others like roles.Key Responsibilities:Participate in hands-on training across multiple business functionsEngage with cross-functional teams to understand operational workflows and business processesCollaborate with department leaders to identify and work on strategic business initiativesDesign, develop, and present a capstone project to senior leadershipBuild relationships with employees at all levels and actively participate in the business cultureAttend leadership and development workshops to enhance personal and professional skillsComplete weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly reports as requiredOther duties as assignedQualifications:Recent graduate with a degree in Agribusiness, Agriculture Studies, Agriculture Economics, or a related fieldStrong interest in a career in management and leadershipWillingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environmentStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environmentA proactive approach to work with a high degree of ownership and accountabilityMust be willing to travel to different facilities throughout the program (DE & NC)Program Benefits:Competitive compensationExposure to senior leadership and executive teamLeadership and professional development opportunitiesHands-on experience in various departments of a vertically integrated companyOpportunity for full-time employment and career advancement upon successful completion of the program#LI-AP1About UsAre you looking for more than just a job?
