This role is ideal for a provider who values multidisciplinary collaboration and patient-centered care.The physician may be based at any nearby clinic location serving San Jose, San Francisco, Campbell, Sacramento, or Modesto. The role offers flexibility, professional growth, and a strong emphasis on work-life balance.Key Responsibilities:Evaluate patients with a multidisciplinary team to determine medical eligibility for the TBI ProgramPerform neurological consultations and establish appropriate treatment plansServe as a consulting neurologist for patients enrolled in the TBI programEvaluate and manage neurological and chronic pain patientsPerform spinal procedures on eligible candidatesAnalyze reports, test results, medical records, and examinations to diagnose conditions and recommend treatment optionsPrescribe pharmaceuticals and treatment regimens for documented medical conditionsDiscuss potential side effects of medications and treatments, maintaining up-to-date allergy documentationAdvise patients on lifestyle and dietary modifications to support recovery and healthAdhere to departmental policies, quality improvement initiatives, safety, and infection control standardsMaintain strict patient confidentiality and compliance with federal and state privacy lawsDocument complete, timely, and legible medical recordsRequirements & QualificationsCalifornia Board Certified Physician License or Board Eligible Pain Resident/FellowCurrent DEA and Department of Public Safety (DPS) registrationExperience providing diagnostic and primary care services in a clinical settingExperience prescribing appropriate medications and treatment regimensExperience collaborating with specialists within a multidisciplinary teamExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsExperience with the California Workers’ Compensation system preferredStrong knowledge of neurology, musculoskeletal pathology, and pain treatmentAbility to relate empathetically to patients with chronic painClear understanding of the distinction between chronic and acute painAbility to explain the relationship between pain perception, tissue damage, deconditioning, and depression$275,000 – $400,000 annually plus productivity incentivesClinic hours Monday through FridayStrong emphasis on work-life balanceEmployee Benefits Include:Fully paid training and ongoing supportAdditional training in procedures, workers’ compensation care, and minimally invasive spine techniquesLicense fee reimbursementCME coverage and paid CME timeMalpractice insurance coverageMedical, dental, vision, and prescription benefits (PPO & HMO options)401(k) plan with employer matchingPaid time off and holiday payEmployee perks and discount programsAll compensation ranges are posted based on internal equity, job requirements, experience, and geographic location.
