Travel PCU/Stepdown Nurse (RN) | Prescott, Arizona

A healthcare facility in Prescott, AZ, requires experienced RNs skilled in float pool nursing across PCU, MedSurg Tele, and inpatient holding in the Emergency Department. This contract role suits nurses with a solid background in medical telemetry, Progressive Care Unit experience, and proficiency in advanced cardiac monitoring and drip management.Qualifications and Desired Experience:Minimum 2 years nursing experience in med/telemetry unitsAt least 1 year experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU)Current state RN licenseBLS and ACLS certificationsSuccessful completion of a dysrhythmia exam with a minimum score of 80% within two attempts prior to contract signingAbility to titrate drips including Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and InsulinComfortable interpreting cardiac rhythm stripsAdherence to a 50-mile radius rule, with no affiliation to certain related healthcare systems in the past yearLocation and Work Environment: Position is based in Prescott, AZ, with nursing assignments spanning two hospital campuses approximately 20-25 minutes apart. The West campus includes a Stepdown Unit with 14 double occupancy rooms and a MedSurg Tele unit with 95 beds arranged in pods. The East campus is smaller and includes a Stepdown Unit and a 10-bed NextCare facility.
