Job Title: HR GeneralistLocation: Lancaster, NY (Onsite – 4 days/week) + Travel to 4 additional sitesDuration: 4 Months Contract with possible extensionPosition OverviewThe HR Generalist will serve as a key partner to site leadership teams across multiple manufacturing/operations locations. This role is responsible for supporting end-to-end HR functions including hourly recruitment, employee relations, performance management, talent development, and employee engagement. The position requires strong onsite presence and the ability to manage multiple HR priorities in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.Key ResponsibilitiesEmployee Relations & HR SupportAct as the first point of contact for hourly employees regarding HR-related concerns Manage employee relations cases including discipline, conflict resolution, and workplace issues Partner with leaders to ensure fair and consistent application of HR policies Support terminations, layoffs, and workforce reduction processes when required Recruitment & OnboardingOwn full-cycle hourly recruitment including sourcing, screening, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding Coordinate with hiring managers across multiple sites to fulfill workforce needs Ensure smooth onboarding and orientation processes for new hires Performance & Talent ManagementSupport performance management processes including coaching, feedback, and documentation Assist leadership in identifying high-potential talent and supporting succession planning Contribute to talent development initiatives and training programs Employee Engagement & CultureDrive engagement initiatives for hourly and salaried employees Support wellness, inclusion, and culture-building programs at site level Partner with leadership to improve employee experience and retention HR Operations & ComplianceEnsure HR processes and policies are consistently applied across sites Maintain accurate HR data using HR systems and digital tools Analyze HR metrics to support business decision-making and workforce planning Collaborate with HR shared services and COEs (Compensation, Benefits, Recruiting, etc.) Leadership PartnershipCoach and support frontline leaders on HR best practices and people management Assist with organizational effectiveness and change management initiatives Support learning and development activities across locations Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field Minimum 5 years of HR Generalist experience At least 2 years of experience in manufacturing, distribution, or operations environment Experience supporting hourly workforce and onsite operations preferred Strong knowledge of employee relations, recruitment, and HR compliance Experience working with HR systems and reporting tools Key SkillsStrong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to manage multiple priorities across sites Leadership, influence, and stakeholder management skills Problem-solving and conflict resolution ability Strong organizational and time management skills Data-driven decision-making mindset Work EnvironmentFully onsite role (minimum 4 days per week) Multi-site travel required (up to 4 additional locations) Fast-paced manufacturing/operations environment
