Sr. Electrical Engineer

Senior Electrical EngineerA National Architecture & Engineering firm is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer in their St. Louis studio.ResponsibilitiesEstablish project design approach for specific discipline at project start upLeads client managementAttends client, consultant, and design committee meetingsPresents design to client and coordinates with other disciplines and consultantsMay be involved in project/client pursuitsManage project specific scope, budget and scheduleParticipates in all design and construction phases of projectsResponsible for scope, schedule, budget for own scope of workOwns all projects in entirety related to project deliveryManages teams and assists other project team members in the development and maintenance of workplansParticipates in project debriefs and lesson's learned sessionsOversee development of fully coordinated quality design documentsLeads in planning, design and documentation of projectsPrepares working drawings and stamps drawingsCommunicates and improves some design processes with other team membersRecommend and implement alterations to design to improve qualityMentorshipMentor other Designers and EngineersProvide training and leadership through project work to empower, train and develop designers and engineersPursue additional certificationsSupport systems commissioning activities, including site visits and functional testing - development and executionPromote company reputation through good client relationsMay be required to perform other duties as assignedQualification:Bachelor's degree or Professional degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering10+ years of professional experienceExperience within healthcare, higher education, and/or science & technology market sectors preferredProfessional Engineer (PE) Licensure preferredMust be authorized to work for any company in the United StatesGenerates creative solutions; translates concepts and information into images; collaborate with others to modify design; applies design principlesStrong communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to read and interpret information.Able to assume a role of authority, as necessary; sets an example for coworkers; delegates responsibility and empowers associates to make decisions and take personal accountability for decisions.Able to perform work and job function with precision and accuracy; carefully monitors processes; concentrates on details, organizes and maintains a system of records.Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local building codes and safety laws. Work requires advanced math skills, special relationship abilities, and the ability to understand "abstract" principles behind math and physics.Possesses a sense of ownership in all deliverables.
