This is not just a transactional role, you’ll be a key contributor in supporting a scalable accounting operation and supporting a fast-growing, innovative brand.We’re looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys improving systems and processes, and takes ownership of delivering accurate, insightful financial information.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport month-end close and financial reporting processes.Develop and refine accounting workflows to improve accuracy and efficiency.Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, and general ledger.Perform accrual accounting in compliance with US GAAP.Support audits, tax filings, and state business registrations.Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure complete and accurate financial data.Partner with leadership on special projects and ad hoc analysis.Perform all other projects and duties assigned by leadership.Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field (equivalent experience in lieu of degree accepted)Three (3) years of progressive accounting experience, including AR and AP.Two (2) years of experience using QuickBooksStrong expertise in preparing and analyzing financial statements, and managing finance-related tasksExperience with balance sheet reconciliation, audit support, and system implementationsProficiency in preparing journal entries and maintaining fixed asset recordsSolid understanding of accrual accounting, bookkeeping, and payroll processesAble to accurately generate reports for stakeholders and investors, including ad hoc reportingStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and consistently meet deadlinesPreferred QualificationIndustry experience in retail, gaming, construction, entertainment, food and beverage, or hospitalityExperience working in an accounting position for medium-sized and large organizationsTwo (2) or more years of experience with Bill.comOne (1) or more years of Concur experienceOne (1) or more years of Rippling experienceCompensation & ScheduleSalary: $65,000 - $75,000Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8 hours/day; givenWork Location: On-site in Grapevine, TXBenefitsRetirement program + employer % matchingHealth insurancePaid time off (PTO)Holidays offDriven and inclusive company cultureAbout UsPortal Lounge is the world’s first lounge curated for the modern traveler.
