Commercial Roofing Service Manager

Location:Springfield, MATerritory:Service operations throughout New England (MA, CT, RI, NH, VT, ME)Job Type:Full-TimeJD Rivet Roofing, a sister company of Ameritech Contracting, is seeking an experienced and organized Commercial Roofing Service Manager to lead and grow the company's roofing service and maintenance division. This role is responsible for managing service technicians, coordinating repair and maintenance work, and ensuring exceptional customer service for property owners, facility managers, and general contractors. The Service Manager oversees service scheduling, inspections, leak investigations, preventative maintenance programs, and small repair projects while maintaining efficiency, profitability, and high-quality workmanship.Key Responsibilities Service Operations ManagementOversee day-to-day operations of the roofing service departmentManage service calls including leak investigations, repairs, warranty work, and maintenanceSchedule and dispatch service technicians efficiently across New EnglandTeam LeadershipSupervise and support roofing service technicians and service crewsTrain technicians on safety, troubleshooting, and roofing system repairsEnsure teams are properly equipped and prepared for daily work assignmentsCustomer Service & CommunicationServe as the primary contact for service customers including property managers, building owners, and contractorsRespond quickly to emergency calls and urgent service requestsMaintain strong client relationships and ensure high customer satisfactionEstimating & ProposalsPerform site visits to assess roofing issues and prepare repair proposalsDevelop pricing for service work and small roofing projectsReview completed work to ensure accuracy in billing and documentationPreventative Maintenance ProgramsDevelop and manage roof maintenance plans for commercial clientsConduct roof inspections and provide condition reportsIdentify opportunities for proactive repairs and future projectsScheduling & LogisticsCoordinate materials, equipment, and labor for service workOptimize technician routes and scheduling for efficiencyEnsure proper documentation of work orders and service reportsSafety & ComplianceEnforce OSHA safety standards and company safety policiesEnsure technicians follow proper safety procedures and equipment protocolsPerformance & ReportingTrack service department performance including response time, revenue, and profitabilityProvide reports to company leadership on service operations and growth opportunitiesRequirements Qualifications5+ years of roofing experience, preferably in service or repair operationsStrong understanding of commercial and residential roofing systems (TPO, EPDM, PVC, metal, shingles)Experience diagnosing roof leaks and developing repair solutionsLeadership or supervisory experience managing technicians or crewsStrong customer service and communication skillsAbility to prioritize multiple service requests and emergenciesValid driver's license and ability to travel throughout New EnglandPreferred QualificationsExperience managing roofing maintenance programsOSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certificationExperience with service dispatch or project management softwareBackground in estimating repair workBenefits What JD Rivet Roofing OffersCompetitive salary based on experiencePerformance incentives tied to service department growthCareer advancement opportunities within the companyCompany vehicle or travel allowanceHealth benefits and paid time offJob incentives based on performanceWe are an equal opportunity employer#J-18808-Ljbffr
