You’re comfortable without a playbook, you ask for money directly, and you care more about outcomes than activity. You don’t need perfect structure because you’re willing to create it.Role DescriptionWe are rebuilding how our organization raises money. For years, Simon’s Heart relied on a successful annual gala. We are intentionally moving away from that model and building something new, which includes:· CPR Jukebox Marathon (a 12-hour, student-powered flagship event)· Just a Ball (a simple, scalable participation campaign)· A growing national footprint for CPR JukeboxWe are hiring the person who will turn this energy into revenue and build the system that makes it repeatable. You will be expected to generate meaningful revenue in Year One while helping define what scales beyond it.This is not a traditional nonprofit fundraising role. This is not a corporate sponsorship sales role. You will be responsible for revenue outcomes, not just activity.Key Responsibilities1. Build the revenue engine behind the Marathon.· Design and lead team-based fundraising (20+ teams).· Set clear expectations and goals for participants.· Own the peer-to-peer platform and performance.· Ensure the Marathon generates meaningful revenue in Year One and becomes repeatable over time.2. Turn participation into funding.Define how someone goes from participant → donor → repeat supporter.Build simple, clear paths to give.Make the ask direct and effective.3. Own revenue across channels.Engage and activate existing supporters and relationships where appropriate.Identify individuals who show strong engagement and move them toward deeper giving.Test direct outreach and individual giving beyond event participation.Identify aligned companies that support teams, communities, and program growth.Decide what channels are worth scaling.4. Build a system that improves over time.Track what works and what doesn’t.Understand why certain teams, messages, or audiences perform better.Use that insight to refine and scale.5. Create clarity out of ambiguity. This is the first role of its kind for CPR Jukebox. You have taken something that didn’t exist or didn’t work and made it generate revenue.You are comfortable figuring things out without a playbook and being judged on results.Preferred BackgroundExperience working with existing donors, customers, or accounts and growing their contribution over time.Early-stage startup (growth, community, or revenue role).Peer-to-peer or campaign-based fundraising.Scrappy business development in a mission-driven or consumer-facing organization.Someone who has built a program, campaign or side project that generated real revenue.ExpectationsYou are comfortable asking for money directly.You take ownership of outcomes, not just activity.You can simplify complex ideas into something people understand quickly.You are disciplined enough to focus on what works and stop doing what doesn’t.You are comfortable operating in ambiguity and building as you go.Defining SuccessThe CPR Jukebox Marathon generates meaningful revenue in Year One and shows clear signs of repeatability.Teams have clear fundraising expectations and meet them.We have a defined path from participant → donor → repeat supporter.The right companies are engaged to support teams, communities, and program growth.We have a growing base of individual supporters.We understand which revenue channels are worth scaling.CompensationBase salary: $70,000.Performance-based bonus: Up to $15,000 tied to revenue outcomes and progress toward building a repeatable fundraising model.Total potential compensation: up to $85,000.Why Join UsYou are strong at generating revenue and want your work to matter. Over the past twenty years, the organization has screened more than 20,000 students, helped pass Sudden Cardiac Arrest Prevention legislation in 19 states, educated over 2 million coaches nationwide, built a digital pediatric cardiac registry and placed more than 500 AEDs in communities.CPR Jukebox is a music powered CPR experience designed to make lifesaving skills fun, accessible, and memorable, especially for students. Participants pick a song, grab a ball and learn CPR by pushing to the beat. What began as a creative activation is now scaling nationally through tours, a student powered marathon event and licensed partnerships.
