Quality Engineer

Job Description Quality EngineerPosition SummaryThe Quality Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance systems to ensure products meet or exceed customer expectations and internal standards. This role plays a key part in driving continuous improvement initiatives, supporting manufacturing operations, and maintaining compliance with applicable quality standards.This is a hands-on position with strong interaction across production, engineering, and leadership teams in a manufacturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, and improve quality systems, procedures, and standards across manufacturing operationsLead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) initiatives for internal and external quality issuesMonitor and analyze production quality data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement effortsSupport production teams with troubleshooting quality-related issues on the shop floorConduct audits of processes, products, and systems to ensure compliance with internal and customer requirementsCollaborate with engineering and operations teams on new product introductions and process changesDevelop and maintain inspection methods, documentation, and quality control plansInterface with suppliers and customers on quality-related matters as neededSupport lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiativesQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or related field preferred3+ years of experience in a Quality Engineering or similar role in a manufacturing environmentStrong understanding of quality systems, inspection methods, and manufacturing processesExperience with root cause analysis tools (5-Why, Fishbone, etc.)Familiarity with ISO standards or other quality management systems preferredStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailAbility to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced production environmentStrong communication and documentation skillsPreferred Skills (Not Required)Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma exposureExperience in metal fabrication, assembly, or industrial manufacturing environmentsERP/MRP system experience
