For more information, visit: www.sitime.com .Job SummaryThe Validation Engineering Intern assists other validation team members in performing extensive bench testing and data collection to ensure that our integrated circuits meet the performance and functionality targets. Validation engineering interns also work closely with design engineers to assist in performing experiments and in-depth investigations for future designs.It is not necessary to meet all job requirements to be a qualified candidate for the position.ResponsibilitiesAutomate lab data collection and data analysis using python programming languageWork on schematic design of high-speed signal PCBDebug and analyze failures in devices returned by customersDevelop and document bench testing platforms for device validation and characterizationConduct work for timing products including but not limited to synthesizers, buffers, analog and digital PLLsElaborate validation plans and execute validation tasks Analyze bench data and prepare reports summarizing device performanceQualifications & RequirementsActive enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate engineering degree programField of Study: Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related technical fieldHands-on experience in the following areas is a plus:Serial communication protocols (I2C, SPI, RS232, UART, USB, CAN)Design tools for schematic and layout of mixed-signal PCB, preferably AllegroPCB signal integrity simulation tools, preferably Hyperlynx and AnsysPLLs and timing devices including synthesizers and buffersOne year experience of regular use of python languageKnowledge of lab automation using LabVIEW and/or pythonPrior industry experience is a plusEnglish proficiency is required, including the ability to effectively communicate, collaborate, and perform job responsibilities in a professional business environment.Desired Characteristics & AttributesGood communication skills (written and verbal)Problem solverAbility to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functionsHands-on attitude in a lab environmentA positive attitude and motivation to learn new skillsHigh level of self-motivation and drive to make an impactCompensation RangeAt SiTime, we believe great work deserves great rewards.
