Veterinary Assistant

Who we are: Vista Pet Hospital is a fast-paced, three-doctor practice committed to providing exceptional care for pets and their families. We are seeking a friendly, motivated, and driven Experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team. If you love animals and excel at patient care, we’d love to hear from you! Key Responsibilities: Safe and effective patient handling and restraint Knowledge of preventative care and vaccines Experience with anesthesia monitoring Diagnostics - including radiographs, phlebotomy and sample collection, and in-house lab work Professional, compassionate communication with clients and staff. Succinct documentation of patient records and client interactions. Qualifications: Previous experience in a veterinary hospital required. Basic knowledge of drug calculations. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to anticipate patient/DVM needs. Proficient with computers and office equipment; experience with eVet/Pulse is a plus. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Self-direction/motivation. Ability to work effectively both independently and as a team. Passion for animals and empathy for their owners.
