For more information on General Atlantic, please visit: www.generalatlantic.com.Position SummaryGeneral Atlantic is looking to hire a Senior Associate to join the Portfolio Human Capital team in our Miami Office.ResponsibilitiesSupport and project manage C-suite search assignments in close partnership with GA PHC, portfolio company management teams and GA investment professionalsWhere appropriate, independently run searches for portfolio companies including identifying, sourcing, and qualifying senior executivesSpecifically:Support the scoping of senior roles and development of position specificationsResearch new industries, market segments, and competitive landscapes to map the talent ecosystem in support of portfolio company needsBased on a pre-defined spec, develop a research strategy that outlines targeted industries and companiesGain an understanding of the functional breakdown and roles within various executive structures and serve as an expert to the team on the markets/talent pools researchedProactively engage, assess and introduce qualified executives to GA investment professionals and portfolio companiesBuild an evolving external network, with a focus on potential future talent that may be suitable for current and future portfolio initiativesSupport the team in conducting quantitative and qualitative management assessments to identify capability gaps and opportunities for learning & developmentIdentifying opportunities for syndicating processes across the portfolio, to enable sharing of best practices and cost synergy where appropriateLeverage and utilize best practice global tools and capabilities (i.e. Scorecards, Interview Guides, Competency Model), when conducting research/search effortsWhere external search firms are engaged, work closely with GA operating professionals to support and coordinate the search processes including executive search firm screening, development of spec/scorecards, preliminary screening interviews, and collating/analyzing feedback from candidate interviewsQualificationsBachelor’s degree required4-6 years of relevant experience; background in executive search, a high growth company or chief of staff role preferred. Experience working in a leading executive search firm, preferably with exposure to services or consumer sectors.Experience supporting search engagements or talent projects, including producing clear deliverables (status updates, candidate summaries, project briefs)Experience engaging with external clients/candidates in the marketStrong project management skills — able to manage multiple workstreams, align stakeholders, and keep work moving through ambiguity; adapts quickly as priorities shiftAnalytical and intellectually curious, with an eagerness to learn and connect dots across contexts; brings strong intuition and good judgment, and is not afraid to ask questions or challenge assumptionsProficiency with AI tools such as Claude and ChatGPT, paired with the curiosity to test new capabilities and bring better ways of working to the teamStrong attention to detail, exceptional follow through and consistently delivers resultsAbility to work independently and proactively in a high performing global organization.
