Crisis Service Professional (On‐Call / Part-Time)Location: Adams & Juneau Counties, WI (must live within 1 hour) Schedule: Overnights (4:30 PM–8:00 AM), Weekends (24‐hour shifts), plus limited daytime hours for meetings/training Pay:$26/hour when responding to crisis calls$20/hour for non‐crisis workShift stipend for on‐call coverageEmployer: Lutheran Social Services of Wisconsin & Upper MichiganAbout the PositionLutheran Social Services is excited to expand our Crisis Team in Adams and Juneau Counties. We are seeking dedicated Crisis Service Professionals to provide on‐call crisis response, risk assessments, and mobile support to individuals experiencing mental health emergencies.This role offers a flexible on‐call schedule, including options for 8 or 16 hour shifts starting at either 4:30 PM or 12 AM. While most responsibilities occur during on‐call hours, some daytime availability is required for supervision, staff meetings, and training.What You'll DoRespond to crisis calls and provide mobile crisis response when neededConduct risk assessments and determine appropriate interventionsProvide brief crisis counseling and follow‐up servicesMeet with clients in homes, hospitals, law enforcement settings, or community locationsRespond to potential suicide or emergency callsGather information from interviews, records, and collateral contactsAssess client needs and connect them to appropriate community resourcesMaintain strong working relationships with county staff, law enforcement, courts, and community partnersDocument all client interactions in compliance with county, state, and federal requirementsIdentify gaps in services and recommend improvementsStay informed on laws, procedures, and best practices related to crisis servicesSupport the mission, vision, and values of LSSPerform additional duties as assignedQualificationsEducation & ExperienceBachelor's degree required in Human Services or a related field (Examples: criminal justice, psychology, social work, sociology, counseling, vocational rehabilitation)Minimum one year of experience working with mental health clients strongly preferredKnowledge of community resourcesAbility to learn DHS and Wisconsin Statutes Chapters 34, 51 and 55Strong crisis assessment and decision‐making skillsAbility to work independently, multitask, and maintain professionalism under pressureAbility to build effective relationships with diverse populationsCertificates, Licenses, RegistrationsValid driver's license and reliable transportationSatisfactory motor vehicle record per LSS Driver Safety ProcedureAbility to meet LSS auto insurance requirementsTravel RequirementsMust be able to arrive in Adams or Juneau County within 1 hour when responding to crisis callsOccasional day travel as neededWhy Join LSS?Competitive crisis response paySupportive team environmentOpportunities for professional development and trainingLutheran Social Services of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
