Job Title: Bookkeeper Location: Little Egg Harbor, NJ Type: Contract To Hire Opportunity Compensation: $35.00-$40.00 / hr. Contractor Work Model: Hybrid – onsite and remote Hours: 40 hours a week | 8:30 AM-5:00 PM Monday-FridaySummary: We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper with strong knowledge of sales tax requirements across multiple U.S. states. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in managing financial records, sales tax filings, and day-to-day accounting functions.Bookkeeper Responsibilities:Maintain accurate financial records and bookkeepingManage accounts payable and accounts receivableReconcile bank and credit card statementsPrepare and file sales tax reports for multiple statesMonitor sales tax compliance and registration requirementsAssist with monthly and year-end financial reportingProcess invoices, payments, and expense trackingWork closely with management and outside accountants as neededPrevious bookkeeping experience requiredStrong understanding of multi-state sales tax rules and filingsBookkeeper Qualifications: Must have knowledge of sales tax across multiple states Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting softwareStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to manage deadlines and prioritize tasksExcellent communication and problem-solving skills System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
