Urologist (Part Time)
Overview
Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Urologist to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem. The hospital provides comprehensive, compassionate quality care to patients in the Urology department with emphasis on surgical experience and patient management.
Responsibilities
Laparoscopic and robotic surgical experience
Examining, diagnosing, and treating patient conditions and disorders of the genitourinary organs and tracts.
Documenting and reviewing patients' histories.
Ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic tests.
Using specialized equipment, such as X-rays, fluoroscopes, and catheters.
Performing abdominal, pelvic, or retroperitoneal surgeries when necessary.
Treating lower urinary tract dysfunctions.
Prescribing and administering antibiotics, antiseptics, or compresses to treat infections or injuries.
Qualifications
Medical Degree (MD or DO)
Board certified/eligible urologist who has completed an ACGME urology residency.
Valid, unrestricted medical license to practice medicine in the State of New York.
New York Medical License/Active NYS DEA.
Compensation and Benefits
Annual Base Salary: $165,950 (based on a 20‑hour work week). The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $221,470, which includes the baseline salary and other factors as set forth below.
Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week: $55,520.
401(k) account for employee contribution (subject to IRS limits). Employees are immediately vested in their contributions.
Medical malpractice coverage (occurrence‑based) provided at no cost to the employee.
Position eligible for the High Needs Specialty Loan Repayment Program (HNSLRP) for physicians meeting eligibility criteria.
