Sr. Java EngineerLocation: Schaumburg, IL OR Eden Prairie, MN Duration: 12 Months Contract with possible extension Required Skills: Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, REST, Microservices, CI/CD, Agile Preferred Skills: Angular/ ReactJS, Cloud (AWS OR Azure OR GCP), Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes Basic Qualifications:Develop RESTful APIs, microservices and application integrations by leveraging Kafka streaming tech stackAnalyze all requirements and maintain all architecture business systems and documentsEmbrace solutions focused on modernization, enablement, and engineering toolingCreate quick working proof of concepts to validate and formalize solutions and designOwn the overall technical design and direction of the developed productBring innovative ideas to help continuously improve the Optum product portfolio including the design, build, deploy, test and runtime within cloud ecosystemsParticipate in debugging and performance tuning in a high performance cloud platformA great attitude and the passion and persistence to solve complex problemsAnalyze metrics and measure effectiveness of programs and return of investment goalsJob Qualification: 5+ years of designing the architecture business systems and document 5+ years in Java (preferably java 8+) 5+ years implementing RESTful microservices 5+ year with git version control 5+ years' experience with Automated Unit Testing and Integration Testing Hands on development using container virtualization utilizing Docker and CICD using Jenkins Hands on development experience using UI framework Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Deployment Strategies
