Benefits:Competitive salaryHealth insuranceOpportunity for advancementAbout the Role:Join AT Precision as a CNC Machine Shop Programmer in Northbrook, IL. In this role, you will program, troubleshoot, verify, and run first-article precision-machined parts for a variety of industries. Responsibilities include using CAD/CAM software, operating CNC machine tools, interpreting technical drawings, and supporting innovative manufacturing solutions in a fast-paced production environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProgramming: Develop, test, and optimize CNC programs (G-code/M-code) using CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Edgecam) for milling and turning.Set-up & Operation: Install fixtures, attachments, and tools; set tool/work offsets; and perform initial machine calibration.Production & Quality: Run first-article inspection (FAI) parts to ensure conformance to specifications. Monitor production, adjust speeds/feeds, and troubleshoot errors.Maintenance & Safety: Perform routine maintenance (lubrication, cleaning) and adhere to safety standards (5S).Documentation: Maintain setup sheets, document tool paths, and update program files.+5S and Six Sigma Improvement. Responsible for some level of engineering change control.Qualifications & SkillsExperience: Generally 2–3+ years of experience in CNC programming, set-up, and operation.Technical Skills: Strong blueprint reading, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and understanding of tooling/material properties.Software: Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and machine controls (e.g., Fanuc, Haas etc.). Also MS Word/P Point, and Excel.Education: High school diploma; technical degree or certificate in precision machining is highly preferred.Abilities: High attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and physical stamina, can lift 25 to 50 lbs.About Us:AT Precision is a precision machining company with more than 36 years of industry experience, providing high-quality machined components to customers across a wide range of industries worldwide.
