Senior Project Manager - Power Generation

OverviewJoin ENERCON's Energy Group as a Senior Project Manager of Power Generation and lead the charge in crafting multi-discipline engineering proposals, estimating power generation design projects, developing project plans, managing clients, and overseeing client contracts. Our positions offer flexibility with opportunities in:Kennesaw, GATampa, FLOther offices will be considered based on experience levelResponsibilitiesImagine a day where your work helps shape the future of energy infrastructure — leading the people, driving the plans, and forging the partnerships that bring complex power generation projects to life.Manage Client Interactions: Act as the single point of contact for assigned projects, negotiate / control project scope to client and the company's satisfaction, foster and maintain working relations with assigned clientsLead Teams: Lead matrixed technical staff to ensure client deliverables meet quality standards, schedules, technical requirementsManage Project Financials: Understand project financials and be able to report regularly to management on financial status and overall project performanceManage Project Schedules: Responsible for development of project schedule, execution of schedule, reporting on schedule, preparing recovery schedules and re-baselining schedules. Understand complex scheduling tools including earned value management and reporting processesLead Proposal Efforts: Lead efforts while working with technical and business development staff to develop winning and highly detailed engineering proposals, support marketing efforts, including identification of new opportunities, proposal preparation and follow-up. Possess knowledge of pricing natural gas power generation projectsEnforce Polices: Enforce internal and client work standards and schedules, and communicate policies, purposes, and goals of the organization to subordinatesDevelop Plans: Develop Project Work Plans, Risk Management Plans, and Work Breakdown Structures QualificationsMinimum of 8 years design engineering experience in natural gas fired Power Generation and 6 years of related project management experienceBachelor's Degree in Engineering with related project management experience Capable of establishing a schedule in MS Project or supporting development of P6 schedulePMP preferredMust have experience with overall project costs for various configurations of natural gas fired power generationSkilled in cost / workhour estimating and proposal development and reviewCapable of reporting on and managing scope, schedule, and cost for multiple projects executing simultaneouslyKnowledge in earned value management, rules of credit, and progress reportingPossess limited experience in contract and non-disclosure agreement language development and reviewAbility to understand and work with budget and accounting processesStrong coordination and team building skillsExcellent organizational, time management, strategic planning, writing, communication, decision-making, and presentation skillsEffective communication skills with demonstrated ability to work across disciplines and teamsWorking knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPointAbility to travel between 10-15% of the time; duration of travel may vary depending on project and client needs but typically only overnightAdditional InformationENERCON Services, Inc.
