Line Cook
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our busy kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and culinary arts, with experience working in fast-paced restaurant environments. This role offers an opportunity to develop your skills further whilst contributing to delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining food safety standards, and supporting the overall efficiency of the kitchen.
Duties
Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards
Assist in meal preparation during service hours, ensuring timely delivery of dishes
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations in compliance with food safety regulations
Monitor food quality and presentation, making adjustments as necessary
Support other kitchen staff during busy periods to ensure smooth operation
Follow all health and safety procedures diligently, including proper handling of food and equipment
Restock ingredients and supplies as needed to ensure continuous workflow
Assist with cleaning duties at the end of each shift to uphold hygiene standards
Requirements
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
Strong understanding of meal preparation techniques and culinary practices
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
Previous experience serving or interacting with customers is advantageous but not essential
Flexibility to work shifts as required, including weekends and evenings if necessary

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
