A rewarding opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) specializing in hospital-based therapy to support patients recovering from severe injuries or illnesses. This position is based in Fort Bliss, TX, at a state-of-the-art inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital with 36 beds designed for comprehensive rehabilitation care.Responsibilities:Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for patients recovering from traumatic injuries or critical illnesses.Implement evidence-based therapy techniques aimed at improving communication, swallowing, and cognitive function.Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, physical therapists, and occupational therapists to optimize patient outcomes.Document patient progress accurately and maintain compliance with regulatory and hospital standards.Educate patients and their families regarding therapy goals and strategies to support recovery.Qualifications and Desired Experience:Valid and current SLP license with credentials appropriate for hospital therapy.Proven experience in inpatient rehabilitation settings is preferred.Strong clinical skills in assessment and treatment of complex speech and swallowing disorders.Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team.Commitment to high standards of patient care and continuous professional development.Location: Fort Bliss, TX, offers a unique blend of military heritage and vibrant community life.
