Lead - Patient Care Technician | Short Stay

Performs duties to provide physical and psychological care to patients under the direct supervision of a registered nurse. Performs clinical patient care duties and assist nursing staff to perform diagnostic procedures, transport of patients to other services, manages and maintains equipment, supplies and orients new employees. Assists with scheduling and in formal and informal staff education. Will be expected to be a member or lead various committees throughout the hospital focused on improving patient care and be accountable for project management. What you will do. Collaborates with the Clinical Nurse Educator and Leaders to develop, coordinate and validate Patient Care Technician staff competencies, orientation and education. Assists with staff education, development of competencies and new employee orientation and may assist with PCT candidate selection.
