Job Summary
We are currently seeking a closing Cook in our kitchen. The Nugget Spot is a Quick-Service Restaurant, serving hand-cut chicken nuggets and fries, and a few other items to fit our American-inspired menu. The ideal candidate will have experience in prepping and working with chicken. Candidates with Food Handler's License highly preferred.
Duties
Cutting, Brining, Breading and cooking chicken using deep fryers.
Cutting and prepping other items such as broccoli, cookies, sauces and more.
Following PAR sheets to determine how much of each item to make per day and when.
Cleaning and organizing line and prep areas in the kitchen, to maintain appropriate standards of cleanliness.
Washing dishes and maintaining a clean workspace post-prep.
Filtering hot oil and regularly cleaning fryers to ensure fresh product for our guests.
Weekly cleaning tasks to maintain the longevity of equipment.
Experience & Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in QSR and/or Chicken is highly preferred.
Food Handler's License highly preferred.
Ideal candidate should be comfortable with the standard breading procedure, as well as handling a knife and cutting chicken.
Ideal candidate should be able to lift 40 pounds at a time.
Ideal candidate should have reliable transportation to and from work.
