W2/1099/IC onlyhybrid 3 days per weekRole OverviewWe are seeking a Junior Software Engineer / Full Stack Cloud Developer to support the development and enhancement of modern cloud-based business applications and internal platforms. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in software engineering and application development who is interested in working across backend services, APIs, cloud technologies, and modern web applications.This is not a pure Data Engineering role. While the environment includes cloud-based data platforms and analytics tooling, the primary focus is on application development, internal business tools, APIs, and user-facing solutions that support business operations and strategic initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain cloud-native applications using Python and modern web technologiesBuild and enhance responsive internal applications and dashboards using React and related UI frameworksDevelop RESTful APIs and backend services supporting internal business workflows and applicationsCollaborate with product, business, and engineering teams to gather requirements and deliver scalable solutionsWork within AWS environments using services such as Lambda, S3, EC2, SNS, and SQSSupport automation, monitoring, CI/CD processes, and cloud application deploymentsParticipate in code reviews, Agile ceremonies, testing, and application enhancement initiativesAssist in improving operational efficiency through automation and scalable cloud solutionsWork alongside teams supporting analytics platforms, orchestration frameworks, and cloud infrastructureRequired Qualifications2 5 years of experience in software engineering, application development, or full stack developmentStrong programming skills in Python and SQLExperience building modern web applications using React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSSExperience developing and consuming RESTful APIsExposure to AWS cloud technologies such as Lambda, EC2, S3, SNS, or SQSFamiliarity with CI/CD tools, Git-based workflows, Docker, or containerization technologiesStrong problem-solving and communication skillsExperience working in Agile/Scrum development environmentsPreferred QualificationsExposure to cloud-based analytics or data platform environmentsFamiliarity with Airflow, Redshift, Snowflake, or cloud orchestration toolsExperience building internal operational tools, dashboards, or business applicationsExposure to Financial Services or Asset Management environmentsFamiliarity with modern DevOps and microservices conceptsInterest in AI-assisted development tools such as Copilot or Claude
