In this role, you’ll design and support modern DevOps and cloud solutions that power mission-critical intelligence systems. You’ll focus on automation, reliability, and scalability—while we focus on investing in your growth.As part of our Common Operations Release Environment (CORE) team, you’ll help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter by supporting an Intelligence Community customer in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.What You’ll DoAs a Senior DevOps Engineer, you’ll be a key contributor to designing, automating, and maintaining secure, scalable platform services across on-prem and cloud environments.You will:Automate the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of platform servicesArchitect, build, and support on-prem and cloud infrastructureMaintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines to improve reliability and deployment speedAdminister production, staging, and development environmentsMonitor system health, performance, and resource utilizationManage centralized logging and monitor for security and system eventsImprove system monitoring while ensuring compliance with security standardsApply configuration management best practices (patching, hardening, documentation)Enforce security and reliability best practices, including access controls and vulnerability testingPartner with A&A and security teams to maintain authorization and compliance requirementsParticipate in operational readiness reviews and present system readiness updatesSupport Agile (SAFe/Scrum) development teams and ceremoniesProvide on-call support as requiredWhat You’ll BringRequired Skills & ExperienceBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or any related field/major5+ years of experienceProficiency with LinuxAbility to manage networking for web application by understanding TCP/IP and DNSHands-on experience with container platforms such as Kubernetes, Docker, or OpenShift, with ideal knowledge of AWSExperience creating and modifying Helm Charts and configuring deployments to multi-environments (e.g. dev, stage, prod) across multiple security domainsExperience with Infrastructure as Code (one or more of Terraform, Cloud Formation, AWS CDK, Ansible, Chef, Puppet)Experience with Gitlab and Gitlab CI/CD pipelines; (knowledge of Jenkins, CircleCI, or similar)Knowledge of containerization, monitoring and logging, and network & securityExperience deploying and managing databases, interacting with databases via SQL and ORMsExperience monitoring and updating tokensComfortable using Python and BASH to create systems toolingAbility to contribute code updates/tweaks to existing code repositoriesExperience with integrating security components with applications and databasesNice to HaveExperience with software system design, able to create application architecture for new applicationsFamiliarity with Configuration Management and Request for Change process for review and assessmentExperience with delivery of an integrated solution using Agile software delivery techniquesTechnical certification: Network+, Security+, Oracle or specializing in Software Development, or Cloud ComputingExperience in System Engineering and project/program managementKnowledge and/or experience with NGA enterprise products (including NGA CORE tools; ie Wormhole)Additional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. The salary range for this position is typically $165-175k.
