Production Manager
Arcosa Wind Towers is seeking a Production Manager. In this role, you will support a positive safety culture by planning and directing production activities and staff, you will lead the team in the manufacturing process to ensure quality and timely production.Location: Belen, NMWhat You’ll DoEnsures that safety, health, and environmental legal and company standards are complied with, emphasizing safety as a top priorityMonitors overall plant performance for production and quality standards by developing and reviewing reports and metricsCoordinates plant activities through planning with departmental managers to ensure the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective mannerDevelops systems and sets performance targets and measures that appropriately assess the performance of the plant and direct reports, and reviews progress to ensure achievement of targetsTrain, instruct and direct work activities of employees; identify succession role requirements and high potential talent, and actively trains key talentMonitors schedule to accomplish manufacturing goalsDemonstrate and model the highest ethical standards and treat all employees and coworkers with dignity and respect. Foster a culture that is positive and engaging for all employeesExercises independent judgmentFill-in as needed so that production goals can be metOther duties as assignedQualifications, Skills, And EducationBachelor’s Degree Preferred5 years of progressive experience in a key leadership/management role 3-year knowledge of welding, assembly or paint preferredRead, write and speak proficiently in EnglishHave a working knowledge of the principles and applications associated with manufacturing operations, maintenance and engineering and budgeting/expense management strongly preferredExcellent communication skills both written and verbalExperience with Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPointWorking ConditionsFull-time position, M-F, Mandatory OT can be required including weekendsSafety sensitive roleWork environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas and plant grounds which operate 3 shifts and frequent weekend shiftsThis position frequently requires work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidaysAbility to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant.This position may require infrequent travel, including operation of a company vehicleTOW158
