This role manages an assigned book of employee benefits clients while supporting producers with new business, renewals, and ongoing service. Our agency offers a fun, collaborative work environment, flexible scheduling, and a highly competitive compensation and benefits package.Role OverviewThe Employee Benefits Account Manager is responsible for servicing employer clients with fully insured and level-funded benefit plans, ensuring smooth renewals, accurate plan administration, and proactive client support throughout the year.Key ResponsibilitiesManage an assigned portfolio of employee benefits accountsPrepare pre-renewal, renewal, and marketing reportsCompare plan designs, benefits, and pricing across multiple carriersCalculate employee contribution strategies aligned with client budget goalsDevelop and maintain annual client service plansCollect and coordinate client data for benefits technology and enrollment platformsDraft client communications, compliance notices, and correspondenceNegotiate rates and plan terms with insurance carriersSupport producers by organizing materials and meeting deadlinesQualifications & ExperienceMinimum of 5+ years of experience in group health insurance or employee benefits brokerage/consultingActive Life and Health insurance license requiredStrong knowledge of employee benefits implementation and administrationWorking knowledge of ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, and applicable state and federal regulationsFamiliarity with online enrollment and benefits administration platformsAbility to negotiate rates and benefits with carriersExperience with EPIC agency management system preferredProficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPointExcellent verbal and written communication skillsHigh school diploma required; college degree preferredWillingness to travel to client offices for open enrollment meetings as neededPlease contact me at (605) 610-3041 to have a conversation about this exciting career advancement opportunity, don't forget to email me your resume to jennifer.thompson@gogpac.com and reference this job in email.Jennifer ThompsonSenior Director - Insurance Divisiongpac(605) 610-3041Jennifer.thompson@gogpac.com
