This role involves performing a broad range of diagnostic laboratory tests that support accurate patient diagnosis and treatment. Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and handling complex laboratory procedures across multiple disciplines.Key ResponsibilitiesLaboratory Testing & AnalysisPerform waived, moderately complex, and highly complex laboratory testing in accordance with CLIA regulationsConduct testing in chemistry, hematology, microbiology, immunohematology, urinalysis, and molecular diagnosticsOperate and maintain laboratory instruments and analyzersAccurately analyze, validate, and report patient test resultsQuality Control & Equipment MaintenancePerform routine quality control and ensure accuracy and reliability of test resultsCalibrate and maintain laboratory equipment per established protocolsIdentify and troubleshoot instrumentation issues and abnormal findingsImplement corrective actions when necessaryReagents & Safety CompliancePrepare reagents, standards, and quality control materialsAdhere to safety guidelines for handling hazardous, biological, and radioactive materialsEnsure compliance with laboratory safety and regulatory standardsClinical Collaboration & SupportCommunicate critical and routine lab results with clinical staff and physiciansCollaborate with laboratory team members to ensure workflow efficiencyAssist in training and mentoring junior staff when neededRecommend additional or confirmatory testing when appropriateOperations & DocumentationMaintain accurate documentation and laboratory recordsAssist with inventory management and supply orderingEnsure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standardsStay updated with advancements in laboratory science and technologyRequired QualificationsEducation:Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or Laboratory ScienceORBachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related fieldCertifications:MLT (ASCP), MT (ASCP), or MLS (ASCP) - RequiredPreferred QualificationsMinimum of 1 year of clinical laboratory experienceStrong understanding of laboratory workflows and diagnostic processesExcellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsProficiency in basic computer applications (MS Word, Excel)Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environmentFor more details contact at hdavda@navitashealth.com or Call / Text at 516-862-1169.
