Responsible for high levels of customer satisfaction through direct, on site, customer interface. Mentors' peers on mechanical HVAC installation & service activities. Properly completes required project and service documentation. Provide our customers with the highest level of service to solve building inefficiencies and resolve service-related items. As a trusted advisor to our customers, you will provide solutions and outcomes at the time of serviceHow You Will Do ItApprentices are governed by the local union agreement and they will perform all pneumatic control systems and mechanical equipment service and all other work coming under this Agreement assigned by the Employer, limited only by their capabilities as determined by the Employer, at the respective apprentice rate of pay, and shall perform all assigned work under the direction of the Employer.Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure facility is running efficiently to include upselling opportunities. Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.Routine service and inspections, regardless of size or location of the HVAC mechanical equipment being inspected or serviced, where this work is done as a periodic and routine procedure by the Employer, such as:Change and service filtersOiling and greasingAdjust or replace beltsClean cooling towers, coils, evaporator and condenser tubes and general housekeepingMechanical systems operation under contract with customerCleaning and routine maintenance of solar energy equipmentIndoor Air Quality related work including duct systems and drain pansRequiredWhat we look for Must be a member or willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, AFL-CIO.Vocational School four-year program or an associate degree in mechanical systems, air conditioning or similar field1+ years of industry experience or experience in servicing mechanical systems in the HVAC industryGenerally required knowledge includes mechanical HVAC systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, peripheral equipment installation and servicing techniquesEffective interpersonal skills to properly represent Johnson Controls to customers and other outside contacts in an ethical and professional mannerAbility to explain technical information to technical and non-technical peopleLeadership skills to support the activities of Mechanics working on non-complex, non-critical mechanical HVAC equipment on a job siteThis is a Bargaining Unit Position.Pay Range: $26.63-$30.75 hourly rate determined by the CBA/rate sheet. Benefits are providedthrough a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement. The posted salaryrange reflects the target compensation for this role.
