Linux Engineer

*Experience *: 3-6 Years *Designation:* Linux Admin *Skills -* * Operating System : Linux/REHL, Ubuntu, centos * Disk Partitioning (Standard / LVM, Storage luns)) * RPM installation / upgradation * YUM installation and configuration * Linux system monitoring (Memory utilization, CPU utilization, Top process) * Linux Boot Process * OS troubleshooting * Network troubleshooting from OS * Linux Server Health check * Application Server (WebLogic JBoss, Apache Tomcat, WebSphere or any other Application. * knowledge and working experience of Load Balancer (hardware/Software) * Monitoring LUN utilization and assisting in capacity planning, storage systems and clusters. * Manage logs, backups * Hardening of Linux servers *Job Description:* * Installation, configuration and patching activities. * Monitor operating system utilization patterns and prepare reports. * Ensuring consistency across staging/production and Disaster recovery systems as defined in SLA for each setup. * Monitoring servers for hardware errors like hard disk, RAM, CPU failures/warnings and notifying appropriate service providers and working on the same till closure. * Monitoring LUN utilization and assisting in capacity planning, storage systems and clusters. * Manage logs, backups and tape inventory. * Escalating hardware and system-level problems to AMC Vendors. * Working on the requests of development and support team on staging and UAT setup * Hardening of servers as per bank policy * User administration of all servers * Performance improvement and automation of jobs * Above activities in all environments of application (production, DR, development and staging).
