Shift Worked: Monday, Wednesday- Saturday: 12:00 am - 8:00 amWeekly Hours: 37.5FLSA Status: Non ExemptPay range: $25.01 - $25.01POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Director of Maintenance, the custodian is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall appearance of the facility and its grounds. Their role plays a vital part in ensuring a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained environment for clients, staff and visitors. POSITION DUTIES: Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting Able to stand, squat, bend and lift 50lbs Emptying trash and recycling bins Cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms and kitchen areas Sweeping and mopping the dorms Maintain floors by stripping, waxing, and buffing as needed Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paperEnsuring the exterior of the facility is clean and presentable Picking up trash and debris from the grounds Clearing snow and ice from walkways and entryways during inclement weather Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are used and stored safely in compliance with OSHA regulations and other safety standards Assist in conducting routine safety checks, such as ensuring fire exits are clear and equipment is functioning properly Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, carpet cleaners and pressure washer Assist with minor maintenance tasks assigned. Comfortable using hand tools Support emergency cleanup efforts in case of spills, leaks, or other unexpected situations Participate in all trainings as scheduled by the supervisor Painting and repairs Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor Requirements: High school diploma or GED preferred At least one year of custodial or janitorial experience Ability to speak, write and understand English Ability to flex schedule as needed CPR/First Aid Certification (Provided by the Program) NARCAN (Provided by the program) Driver's License preferred
