Lead Data Engineering Instructor

Seeking a part-time Lead Data Engineering Instructor for a fully remote role, responsible for delivering the bootcamp curriculum, guiding students through the data pipeline lifecycle, and ensuring they acquire the necessary skills to become job-ready Data Engineers. Key responsibilities Oversee the academic experience of the Data Engineering bootcamp and teach core topics including Python, SQL, and ETL/ELT pipeline design Facilitate hands-on labs and projects that simulate real industry data systems, ensuring students achieve program learning outcomes Collaborate with the Education team to improve curriculum and create engaging content for Data Engineering courses Required qualifications 3-5 years of experience in data engineering or a related field, with a focus on building production data pipelines or cloud data infrastructure Fluency in English, with hands-on experience in Python, SQL, and pipeline orchestration tools such as Airflow and dbt Experience with distributed processing frameworks like Apache Spark and familiarity with cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake or BigQuery Knowledge of real-time streaming technologies like Kafka and infrastructure automation tools like Docker and Terraform Passion for teaching and mentoring, with a proven ability to create new techniques and learning materials
