Microscope Service Technician

Company Description Munday Scientific Instrument Service LTD specializes in the service and repair of all microscope brands across North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and the northeastern United States. As authorized service technicians for Olympus and Nikon microscopes, we provide expert solutions tailored to client needs. Our inventory includes replacement parts, bulbs, burners, and lamps for most microscopes and lamphouses. Additionally, we offer a range of refurbished microscopes and laboratory equipment for purchase. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Microscope Service Technician located in Sanford, NC. The role requires performing regular maintenance and repair for microscopes and related laboratory equipment. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and field servicing a variety of microscope brands, ensuring optimal functionality, and addressing client concerns. The technician will also interact directly with customers to deliver exceptional service and support. Qualifications Proficiency in Maintenance and Repair of microscopes and related lab equipmentSkilled in Troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectivelyExperience in Field Service, including travel to customer sites and on-site repairsStrong Customer Service skills to provide clear communication, support, and satisfactionAbility to work independently and demonstrate an attention to detailPrior experience with Olympus and Nikon microscopes is advantageousA valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as neededTechnical certification or relevant hands-on experience is preferred
