Complete the Form Today!\n\nResponsibilities:\n\n\n\tPerform required inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment with in planned time tolerances to maximize the safety, reliability, and cost efficiency throughout the life cycle of the fleet\n\tPerform FAI/CVI (annual) inspections on all fleet vehicles including tractors, trailers, converter dollies, light-duty vehicles, and any other company-owned equipment in accordance with all federal, state and local legal and regulatory agencies. (Includes all state-required inspections and frequencies)\n\tPerform quality preventive maintenance inspections per company methods on all fleet vehicles including tractors, trailers, converter dollies, refrigeration units (reefer), lift-gates, light-duty vehicles, and any other company-owned equipment\n\tPerform quality maintenance repairs as required to maximize safety and reliability on all fleet vehicles including tractors, trailers, converter dollies, lift-gates, light-duty vehicles, and any company-owned equipment\n\tPerform preventive maintenance, diagnosis and repair to refrigeration units (reefer)\n\tAddress all Driver Vehicle Inspection Report write ups timely, and efficiently\n\tDiagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repairs to manufacturer specifications including but not limited to engines, transmissions and clutches, drive-line, differential, steering and suspension, fuel and ignition system, exhaust systems (including regeneration systems), intake systems, electrical systems, brake systems, HVAC systems and lift-gate hydraulic, mechanical and electrical systems\n\tFollow procedures including documenting all work performed on work orders\n\tMentor, teach and share expertise with Fleet Technician I and II to aid in their development to positions of greater responsibility\n\tMay perform moderate supervisory roles when Fleet Manager or Fleet Supervisors are not accessible\n\tProficient in electrical meter testing\n\tKnowledge of controls and electrical systems (DC, low-voltage)\n\tElectric motor knowledge (DC)\n\tComplete electrical repairs and welding projects as needed\n\n\nQualifications:\n\n\n\tPreferred Education\n\n\t\n\t\tHigh school diploma or GED\n\t\tCurrent and valid driver's license (CDL preferred, not required)\n\t\n\t\n\tPreferred Experience\n\t\n\t\tMedium / heavy duty truck technical training\n\t\t2-year school and 4 years of experience OR 5 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair\n\t\n\t\n\tPreferred Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations\n\t\n\t\tAnnual inspector certification knowledge, skills, and abilities\n\t\tBrake inspector certification knowledge, skills, and abilities\n\t\tASE certifications; automotive or medium/heavy duty trucks\n\t\tEPA section 608 (Core & Type II) and 609 HVAC refrigeration certification\n\t\tWorking knowledge of computer-based diagnostic software for OEMs and component manufacturers\n\t\tThe technician must provide their own tools (diagnostic equipment and major tools provided by Sysco) necessary to perform all maintenance repair and diagnostics\n\t\n\t\n\n\n(Sysco is an Equal Opportunity Employer: All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or other characteristics protected by law.\n\n*The pay range provided is not indicative of Sysco's actual pay range but is merely algorithmic and provided for generalized comparison.
