Travel Respiratory Therapist

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist with at least 1 year of experience for a 13-week day shift position at a Level 1 Trauma acute care hospital serving a full range of patients from neonates to geriatrics.Job Details• Acute care hospital setting at a Level 1 Trauma facility,• Respiratory therapy coverage across all inpatient areas and floors, including all units throughout the hospital,• Patient population spans neonates to geriatrics,• 12-hour day shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM,• Weekends required every third weekend,• Holidays rotated with permanent staff,• Floating required to different areas throughout the hospital within the RT capacity,• Ventilators in use: Dräger, Servo I, and CareFusion (Heliox and NICU use only),• BiPAP devices: Vision, V60, V30, and Respironics S/T,• High-flow equipment: Airvo2,• Epic EMR used in this position,• Team-based scheduling,• 3-shift (12-hour) unit-specific orientation provided,Job Requirements• Minimum 1 year of Respiratory Therapist experience,• CRT or RRT credential via NBRC required,• Active ACLS and BLS (AHA) certifications required; NRP and PALS preferred,• Active state or compact (NLC) license required at time of consideration - pending licenses will not be accepted; license required if applicable,• Experience with EKGs, bedside bronchoscopies, and bedside spirometry required,• Epic EMR experience preferred,• Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from the facility (driver's license used to verify permanent address),• Candidates may not currently be employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) at any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity,• 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire,• Driver's license required for consideration,• Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments; refusal to comply may result to termination of contract,Additional Information• Provide respiratory therapy services across all inpatient areas to a diverse patient population ranging from neonates to geriatrics,• Hospitalist and intensivist are in-house 24/7, and a lead therapist is present on each shift,• Travelers will not be the sole RT on-site at any time,• Successful candidates in this department demonstrate strong time management, flexibility, adaptability, communication, and teamwork skills,• RTO requests of 7 or fewer days for the 13-week contract must be submitted upfront; additional RTO will not be approved after submission,
