They lead team members on the project team and oversee company projects to make sure they are running as planned. In this role, they assist in the management of multiple projects. They coordinate projects, schedules, track the progress of projects and report their results. Computer skills are extremely important as the Associate Project Manager will need to be capable of using basic office software programs and the ability to type and run various company reports.Responsibilities:Coordinate project management activities, resources, equipment, and informationSegment projects into achievable actions and set timeframes for completionLiaise with clients to identify and define requirements, scope, and objectivesAssign tasks to internal teams and assist with schedule managementMake sure that clients needs are met as projects evolveAnalyze risks and opportunitiesMonitor project progress and manage issues that ariseCommunicate project status to all stakeholdersWork with the team to eliminate blockersUse tools to monitor working hours, plans and expendituresCreate and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reportsEnsure standards and requirements are met through monitoring quality assurance and control activitiesCreate schedules and collect documents to orient and guide projects and outcomesCommunicate with stakeholders about scheduling, staffing, and technical requirementsHelp with other projects/duties as neededPreferred Qualifications:Recent graduate or 2+ years of proven work experience as a Project Coordinator or similar roleUnderstanding of the Project Management Institute (PMI) frameworkPractical knowledge of various project management methodologies, tools, and applicationsFamiliarity with general construction industry and practicesMust have excellent communication and negotiation skillsMake important decisions under pressureIdentify, manage, and mitigate risk items within project related activitiesCommunicate and work at all levels within BearCom and with customerWrite, read, interpret, explain and act based on a thorough understanding of technical documents, engineering materials and contracts or related documentSupport cross-functional BearCom teams to achieve customer objectives and specific team goals within established time frames and requirementsConsistently demonstrates a commitment to policies and procedures, including but not limited to, attendance, confidentiality, conflicts of interest and ethical responsibilitiesAdditional hours may be requiredUse machines, tools, equipment, and work aids include PCs, printers, copiers, faxes, and other equipment commonly associated with an office work areaTravel will be required on an as needed basis and may be up to 25% of a given weekMust have a valid drivers license and proof of insuranceDrug screenings and background checks are part of the hiring process, which may include a Motor Vehicle Record checkBenefits:BearCom wants to elevate your professional growth!
