LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently partnering with a confidential law firm client seeking experienced Litigation Docketing Specialists to join its fully remote litigation support team. This is an immediate need driven by a high-volume workload and expanding departmental demand.The firm is seeking professionals who can step into the role quickly and provide reliable, high-volume docketing and calendaring support across active litigation matters. The successful candidate must have strong California state court docketing experience, hands-on proficiency with CompuLaw Vision, and the ability to independently manage a significant volume of deadlines in a fast-paced environment. The California specific docketing experience is a must for our client.This is a temporary opportunity with a strong likelihood of overtime, and there is potential for the assignment to continue based on workload and business needs.POSITION DETAILSPosition: Litigation Docketing Specialist — TemporaryLocation: 100% RemoteSchedule: West Coast hours requiredStart Date: ASAPEmployment Type: TemporaryOvertime: Frequent overtime may be required based on workloadRESPONSIBILITIESManage a high volume of litigation docketing and calendaring activity across multiple matters.Enter, update, and maintain case information, deadlines, and related events within CompuLaw Vision.Review pleadings, court notices, correspondence, and requests from case teams to identify and calculate applicable deadlines.Calculate and calendar deadlines arising from California state court and federal court matters, with particular emphasis on California rules and procedures.Respond to attorneys, paralegals, and other legal professionals regarding deadlines, court rules, and calendaring questions.Research jurisdiction-specific rules and procedures and provide concise findings to attorneys and case teams.Prepare and distribute deadline reports for attorney and team review.Conduct quality-control checks to ensure docket entries and calculated deadlines are accurate, complete, and consistent with established procedures.Identify discrepancies, potential deadline concerns, or other issues and escalate them to senior docketing personnel or management when appropriate.Follow established docketing procedures and workflows designed to reduce risk and ensure timely compliance with litigation requirements.Maintain current knowledge of California, federal, and other applicable court rules affecting litigation deadlines.Work collaboratively with a fully remote docketing team while maintaining the ability to manage assignments independently.Provide additional support as needed during periods of elevated workload, including overtime when necessary.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS2+ years of professional litigation docketing experience within a law firm.Hands-on experience with CompuLaw Vision is required.California state court docketing experience is required.Strong understanding of litigation procedures, court rules, deadline calculations, and legal terminology.Experience calculating deadlines for California state courts and federal courts.Ability to quickly learn and apply matter-specific docketing procedures in a high-volume environment.Exceptional attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and risk mitigation.Excellent analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.Strong critical-thinking abilities and resourcefulness when researching or resolving deadline questions.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while communicating effectively with attorneys and legal support professionals.Availability to work West Coast hours.Flexibility to work overtime when business demands require additional coverage.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience with additional rules-based calendaring or docketing platforms, such as Milana or similar systems.Experience supporting a large law firm or other high-volume legal environment.Paralegal certificate, college degree, or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and related legal technology.Extensive familiarity with California litigation rules and court procedures.This posting is a representative sample of the types of roles we typically place with our clients.
