With our client relationships, cutting-edge tools, and employee empowerment buzzback is experiencing steady growth. The Position: Research Analyst – Qualitative Location: New York, NY (hybrid – 6-8 times per month in the office) + travel for in-person researchbuzzback is seeking a Research Analyst on the qualitative team to help meet increased demands of our qualitative business as a result of strong growth in both traditional and online qualitative methods. This position is involved in the entire research process at buzzback from project kickoff to report. The Research Analyst is teamed with senior research professionals, who are responsible for prospecting, client relationship management and research design.The position reports to a Qualitative Research Manager but will work collaboratively with the other Qualitative Directors and Managers across a range of projects and categories. Responsibilities include:Interaction with research team for client project management and delivery Internal project management with the qualitative operations team on respondent management, selection and correspondenceDevelopment and management of executional materials, including instructional documents for respondents, invitational text, invites and follow-upsSupport for development of study materials, including screener development and discussion guidesSupport during fieldwork, including monitoring recruitment, respondent follow-ups, preparing fieldwork materials, note-taking, back room management for focus groups, correspondence with tech for digital sessions, and tending to client needsSupport for report development, including synthesis of notes, report slides, and visualization of learningInvolvement in quality assurance, proofing and reviews for all parts of project processIn-person travel to support for in-person research across the US pending client needs, including focus groups or one-on-one interviews at focus group facilities, in-home interview support and shopalongs – estimated travel about once every other monthClient relations and management at junior levelsProjects worked on will be across categories, including consumer packaged goods, technology and healthcare.Qualifications – Successful candidates possess:Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; advanced degree and/or qualitative professional training (i.e., moderator training) a plus Minimum of 2 years prior market research experience (job, internship) conducting qualitative research specificallyStrong preference for candidates with a familiarity of both online and in-person researchHealthcare category experience a plusFamiliarity and comfort with AI and using it to increase value to clients and efficiency to buzzbackThe ideal candidate will possess:Positive, can-do attitudeProactive self-starterFlexibility to adapt to changing business conditions, objectives and tacticsWillingness to roll-up-sleeves and do what it takes to reach goalsOrientation to self-start and tremendous personal motivationResults-oriented drive and a solid work ethicExcellent time management and prioritization skills with strong attention to detailAptitude to learn new skills, tools, techniques and applying them to different circumstances Skill with common Internet tools and capabilities and Microsoft Office applicationsbuzzback has a competitive employment opportunity that includes:Competitive base salary with bonus/profit shareCareer advancement (based on achievement) Medical insurance, dental, vision, short term disability, etc.Paid vacation, holidays, sick time401(k)buzzback is an Equal Opportunity EmployerIf you are interested in applying, please submit your resume to jobs@buzzback.com with a cover letter that explains why you want this role, and what makes you an appropriate candidate.The range for this position is currently between $65K - $75K
