2nd Shift Process Technician

OpSource Direct has partnered with a food and pharmaceutical container manufacturer in Oconee, SC. Job Title: 2nd Shift Process Technician Pay: $24 - $30/hr. Hours: 3pm - 11:30pm M-F (Train on 1st Shift) Introduction: This client develops, manufactures, and distributes plastic high performance B2B packaging solutions for the pharmaceutical and specialty chemicals industry. They are a GMP certified packaging company who focus on the production and distribution of extrusion blow molded and injection molded screw lid drums and pails. As a Process Technician, you will be responsible for the processing (blow molding & injection molding) of molded products. You will be responsible for the scrap rates, efficiency, of the production facility on your shift. Your tasks and responsibilities will include: Assuring safe work practices including proper use and wear of personal protective equipment (safety glasses, etc.) Performing Mold change overs & start ups Performing color changes when required by the schedule Perform general inspections of molded products based on Control Plan Perform process audit to validate proper equipment and process performance Troubleshooting processes, machines, molding & facilities equipment Non-Destructive and Destructive product testing Corrective Actions and Root Cause Analysis Utilizing 5S principles to ensure visual control (housekeeping standards) Participating in qualification and process optimization for each mold Performing other duties as necessary Requirements: Must have Blow Molding and/or Injection Molding Experience 5+ years of experience in Plastics Processing (packaging or healthcare preferred) 2 years of continued technical education (associate degree) Fork Truck experience / certification Overhead crane experience / certification Proven results to drive a safety culture Strong understanding of molding machines and processes Ability to develop and maintain strong positive collaborative working relationships with interdepartmental team members, gaining the trust and ability to influence the other team members in working together toward a common goal Strong leadership skills, including consensus building, openness to new ideas, and the ability to motivate Analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to simplify complex ideas and processes.
