If you want to join an industry-leading company that focuses on your professional growth and development, we'd love to hear from you!The Shipping & Receiving Clerk performs duties within the shipping and warehouse department, including intake of raw materials, product shipping, and product inventory in a safe, efficient, and quality manner under the supervision of the Shipping Supervisor or lead person assigned to Shipping.What You'll Do:Prepare finished goods for transfer to the warehouse or for shipment to customer, including banding, palletizing, and correct tagging and documentationLoad and unload trucks using mechanical forklifts and handcartsDeliver raw materials and supplies to various departments, placing in a designated area for pick upVerify documentation, such as bill of lading, packing slip, and records incoming and outgoing material in receiving logDirect paperwork to correct individuals for processingIssue packing slips and bills of lading for outgoing freight, verify part numbers and quantity on all finished goods tickets, and authorize all ticketsKeep the work area and warehouse area clean and well organized to prevent product or material loss and unsafe housekeepingWeigh castings using floor scales and record accurate weightsPrepare castings for shipment (sorting, staging, packaging as needed)Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shipping areaWhy You'll Love Working for UsCompetitive Wages and BenefitsComprehensive Benefit Package including Medical, Dental, and Vision coveragesInsurance: Life, Short-Term Disability401(K) MatchPaid Vacation and HolidaysWhat We Need from YouMinimum of completion of tenth (10) grade high schoolBasic computer literacyAbility to lift and move heavy materialsAbility to work effectively in a team environmentStrong attention to detailMust possess the ability to comprehend verbal and written directionsMust possess physical capabilities to move freely throughout the facility, walk, stand, bend, operate powered equipment, such as forklifts and cranes, and lift fifty pounds regularlyMust be trained and certified in forklift operation, hazard recognition, flammable liquid storage and safety, and any other safety requirements for employment at GredeGrede is proud to support transitioning service members and current military veterans with career opportunities that are a match for their skills gained while serving our country.
