Nonprofit Research Intern
Position Overview We are seeking interns to conduct critical research that will inform funding strategy (i.e., securing key corporate partnerships and grants). This role is ideal for a student or early-career professional interested in gaining hands-on experience in the nonprofit sector and contributing to meaningful, real-world impact.Key Responsibilities Conduct targeted research through a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) lens to identify and pitch potential partners Assess companies’ mission alignment (geographic CSR footprint, volunteer programs, past NGO programs) Identify and track funding opportunities (open grant cycles, corporate foundations, etc.) Analyze data from various sources (CSR/ESG reports, company foundation websites, press releases, LinkedIn, databases, etc.) and summarize key insights Evaluate companies based on rubric provided to determine overall fit Prepare standardized reports to present findings/recommendations Maintain organized research files and documentation Preferred (but not required): Coursework or background in Public Health, Global Health, International Relations What You’ll Gain Practical research experience in a nonprofit environment Professional writing and data analysis skills Exposure to NGO funding acquisition efforts How to Apply:Please submit the following materials: Resume Brief cover letter outlining your interest in the role and relevant experience Send applications to: zoya.malik@humanityfirstusa.org Application deadline: 05/22/2026 Humanity First USA is an equal opportunity organization and encourages applicants from diverse backgrounds to apply.
