GxP Assets & Vendor Contracts ManagerThe GxP Assets & Vendor Contracts Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the Raritan site's manufacturing operations by managing vendor and contractor services for critical GxP assets. This role is responsible for creating and managing Scope of Work (SOW), ensuring contractors are properly certified, and standardizing asset lists for improved management. The manager oversees vendor performance, plans service activities, and ensures all services meet GxP and EHS standards. Additionally, the role involves benchmarking, vendor communication, and defining MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) strategies. The GxP Asset Contract Manager reports to the Senior Manager of Technical Services and works on identifying opportunities to bring internal capabilities in-house, supporting SOP development, and fostering innovation.Key Responsibilities:Develop clear, comprehensive Scope of Work (SOW) documents for vendor services and projects.Ensure all contractors and vendors are certified according to site standards (EHS & Compliance).Standardize the asset list across the site for improved asset management and lifecycle planning.Monitor vendor performance and service delivery, utilizing data analytics to develop performance metrics and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.Manage qualification services for assets, including planning, execution, and review of documentation to ensure GxP and regulatory compliance.Conduct benchmarking activities to identify best practices and optimize vendor performance.Analyze vendor performance data regularly, develop and monitor KPIs, and leverage insights to drive process improvements.Serve as the primary vendor contact for assets or parts that are being phased out or are obsolete.Define and implement the MRO strategy for assets supported by vendors, ensuring cost-effective and reliable maintenance.Oversee the creation and review of vendor-provided Preventive Maintenance (PM) documentation, ensuring accuracy and technical quality.Support the development of SOPs related to vendor and asset management within the Technical Services team.Identify opportunities to bring internal capabilities in-house to improve efficiency, control, and costs.Foster a culture of innovation, encouraging new ideas and technologies to improve asset management and vendor performance.Develop and monitor KPIs to track performance, support continuous improvement, and drive operational excellence.Deliver clear, impactful presentations and written reports to communicate performance, insights, and improvement initiatives effectively.Ensure all activities support the site's manufacturing operations, maintaining compliance and operational excellence.QualificationsEducation:Minimum of Bachelor's degree required, focus degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Business, or a related field is preferred.Experience and Skills:Required:Minimum 7 years of relevant professional experience is required.Experience in vendor management, asset management, or contract management supporting GxP manufacturing environments required; biopharma and Cell Therapy experience is a plus.Strong knowledge of GxP, regulatory standards, and asset lifecycle management.Experience with benchmarking, process improvement, and strategic planning.Familiarity with SOP development and technical documentation review.Ability to analyze data, develop KPIs, and leverage insights for continuous improvement.Innovative mindset with a focus on leveraging new technologies and approaches for asset management.Strong project management and organizational skills.Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills.Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and performance metrics development.Ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels.Resilient, adaptable, and strategic thinker, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Knowledge of asset management systems, MRO strategies, vendor qualification processes, and digital tools for performance monitoring.Focused on continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence.Preferred:Certifications in Problem Solving, Green Belt (Lean Sigma), or Black Belt (Lean Sigma) are a plus.Certification in reliability Engineering (CRL and/or CMRP)Proven ability to monitor vendor performance, manage supplier relationships, and negotiate contracts.Experience in creating and managing SOW documents and qualification servicesOther:Requires up to 10% domestic and/or international travel for site support, vendor management, and project oversight.May require standing for extended periods, walking across facilities, climbing stairs or ladders, and light lifting of materials or equipment.Johnson & Johnson is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
