This role overseesincome taxandindirect tax obligations across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and risk management while supporting day‑to‑day business operations.The ideal candidate is hands‑on, detail‑oriented, and comfortable operating in acomplex, multi‑entity environmentwith both domestic and international activity.Key ResponsibilitiesDirect Tax (Income, Franchise, Withholding)Manage federal, state, and localincome and franchise tax compliancefor all U.S. entities, including:Estimated tax paymentsExtensions and returnsApportionment and nexus analysisSupport income tax provision calculations (ASC 740), including current and deferred tax analysisPartner with Accounting on tax‑related journal entries, reconciliations, and disclosuresCoordinate with external auditors to provide required schedules, explanations, and reconciliations.Support tax planning initiatives focused on compliance, cash flow, and effective tax rate managementOverseesales and use tax complianceacross multiple states and local jurisdictionsManageVAT/GST compliancefor international operations, as applicableMaintain nexus determinations and taxability matrices by product, service, and jurisdictionPartner with Operations and IT to ensure accurate tax calculation in billing, ERP, and e-commerce systemsManage indirect tax audits, notices, and inquiries, coordinating with external advisors as neededPrepare (internally and/or with third‑party support), review, and file timely and accurate federal, state, and local tax returns (income, franchise, sales & use, excise, property, and payroll).Coordinate with controllers and finance teams to gather and validate tax data.Oversee estimated tax payments and extensions to ensure proper cash planning.Maintain a compliance calendar to track all filing deadlines and obligations.Manage interactions with tax authorities, including audits and notices, to resolve matters effectively and minimize exposure.Process Improvement & DocumentationMaintain and enhance tax calendars, workpapers, and compliance checklistsDocument tax positions, assumptions, and internal proceduresDrive continuous improvement in tax processes to support scalability and accuracyEvaluate and support automation and system improvements related to tax calculation and reportingQualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field6–10+ years of progressive tax experience (public accounting and/or industry)Strong knowledge ofU.S. federal and state income taxSolid experience withsales and use taxcomplianceExperience working with multiple legal entities and jurisdictionsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailFamiliarity with Avalara and ERP systemsExperience withVAT/GSTand international tax compliance #J-18808-Ljbffr
