You will manage and optimize system infrastructure, ensuring systems are secure, reliable, and operating at peak performance.In this role, you will take ownership of complex system issues, perform in-depth troubleshooting, and contribute to system design and architecture. You will work closely with engineers, stakeholders, and mission teams to ensure operational success and continuous improvement across the environment.Key Responsibilities:Provide support for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systemsPerform in-depth troubleshooting and root cause analysis of complex system issuesManage day-to-day configuration and operation of IT systemsProvide Tier 2 (Escalation) support and resolve complex technical issuesSupport IT systems including operations, monitoring, and problem resolution across client/server, storage, network, and mobile devicesCommunicate status and provide detailed analysis of issues to management and stakeholdersOptimize system performance and resource utilizationPerform system capacity analysis and planningConfigure and manage Linux/UNIX and Windows operating systemsMaintain system integrity through patching, updates, and configuration managementSupport system integration and ensure operational readinessAnalyze and resolve complex problems related to hardware, applications, and system integrationSupport system design, architecture, and infrastructure improvementsMaintain documentation and follow established processes and proceduresRequired Skills and Qualifications:Strong experience administering and supporting IT systems in a system administrator roleAdvanced knowledge of Linux/UNIX and Windows operating systemsExperience performing in-depth troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issuesExperience managing system performance, capacity, and reliabilityFamiliarity with IT infrastructure components including servers, storage, and networkingAbility to support and resolve escalated technical issues independentlyUnderstanding of system integration and operational environmentsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsAbility to work independently and collaborate across teamsEducation and Experience:Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or universityFifteen (15) years of System Administrator experience on programs of similar scope, type, and complexityOR Five (5) additional years of System Administrator experience may be substituted for a degreeCertifications:DoD 8570.01-M compliant with Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level IIClearance Requirement:Must possess an active TS SCI with appropriate Polygraph to be considered for this role**This position is contingent on contract award**Why Choose Independent Software:At Independent Software, our people are the mission.
