You will influence the system form factor, product performance, and customer experience for those using our products. You will be a key contributor in our mission to become a world-class customer experience company through our products and services. In this role you will take on the role of Design Lead for small-to-medium-scale ongoing product development projects in addition to supporting an active manufacturing operation.ResponsibilitiesPlan, coordinate, and lead activities on technically challenging assignmentsDevelop multiple concepts related to meeting a customer needEvaluate and recommend engineering and design solutionsCreate and present reports summarizing technical analysis and business viability to varied audiencesMaintain primary technical communication responsibility, lead tactical discussions, and effectively communicate with external customers and staff.Designs, plans, collects, analyzes, and reports on experimental studies and/or product concepts/ideas.Applies engineering rigor to product designs; ensuring the product will meet performance expectations and delight customers.Shows independent creativity and initiative for business and organizational contributionsDrives discussions and decisions on overall project objectives with managers and other functional leaders.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experienceExperience as a design engineer on a cross-functional engineering teamStrong aptitude for process improvement, problem solving, technical execution, and project managementExperience delivering products from ideation through commercialization using a gated design review process4-10 years engineering or technical experienceExperience with dimensional engineering and tolerance analysisNICE TO HAVEExperienced knowledge of lean, manufacturing, design, and quality systemsDemonstrated ability with dimensional engineering and tolerance/variation analysisExperience as a design or project lead on a cross-functional engineering teamExperience with Autodesk, FEA, MS Office, BAAN, and MESPay Range$90,039.00 - $139,561.00Culture And BenefitsAt Andersen, we believe our people are at the heart of everything we do.
