Registered Nurse (RN) | Neuro ICULocation: Phoenix, AZAgency: United Health Care Staffing, Inc.Pay: $50 to $55 per hourShift Information: Rotating - 3 days x 12 hoursContract Duration: 13 WeeksStart Date: 5/11/2026About the PositionRegistered Nurse - Neuro ICULocation: Phoenix, AZStart Date: 05-04-2026End Date: 08-03-2026Contract Type: Travel ContractShift Type: Rotating 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM; includes weekend rotation (approximately 4 weekend shifts per 4 weeks); may be placed on standby for scheduled shifts; floats between ICU and Tele units; guaranteed 36 hours/weekHours per Week: 36RequirementsDeliver high-quality, evidence-based neuro-critical care to complex patients in a 32-bed Neuro ICUPerform thorough neuro assessments and monitor intracranial pressure (ICP) closelyManage ventilators and coordinate advanced respiratory support with RT 24/7Provide safe care for patients with EVDs and maintain strict sterile-field technique for central line dressing changesDocument patient care accurately in Cerner and communicate changes promptly to the teamParticipate in SIMs Lab and competency validations (Foley insertion, central line dressing changes) and maintain required certificationsCollaborate with interdisciplinary teams including pharmacy and respiratory therapy to optimize patient outcomesFloat to Tele units when needed and manage appropriate telemetry loads per unit expectationsQualificationsActive RN license (eligible to submit and willing to wait if needed)BLS and ACLS certification requiredLevel 1 trauma experience requiredEVD (external ventricular drain) experience requiredMinimum: 2 years ICU experience in a large hospital (450+ beds); will consider <2 years if candidate has 18 months Neuro ICU experience3-6 months prior travel experience preferred for travelersMust pass required pre-employment/clinical exams (DYS exam prior to accepting; two attempts allowed)Travel team members must have their own vehicle; additional site-specific requirements: natural hair color, no facial piercings, and men must be clean shaven for fit testing
