In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery, equipment, and facility systems in a commercial or industrial production environment. This includes electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and structural systems.Key ResponsibilitiesInspect and test machinery and equipment to ensure proper function.Detect malfunctions by listening for unusual sounds and communicating with team members.Dismantle defective machines and install new or repaired parts.Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other machinery parts.Install and repair electrical systems and components (transformers, wiring, etc.).Maintain and install hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including gauges, valves, and pressure regulators.Perform general building maintenance and facility repairs.Install, program, and repair automated machinery, including robots and programmable controllersOperate basic machine tools such as saws, grinders, and drillsFollow GMPs and all food safety guidelines at all timesRequirementsHigh school diploma or GED required.1–3 months of related maintenance experience or equivalent training/education.Ability to read and interpret safety documents, technical manuals, and maintenance instructions.Capable of writing reports and communicating effectively with teams.Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).Strong problem-solving and common-sense reasoning abilities.Physical RequirementsRegular walking, standing, reaching, and use of hands.Occasional climbing, balancing, kneeling, crawling, or stooping.Must be able to lift and move:Up to 50 lbs regularlyUp to 25 lbs frequentlyUp to 100 lbs occasionallyVision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.Work EnvironmentRegular exposure to moving mechanical parts.Occasional exposure to:Wet/humid conditionsHigh places, fumes, or airborne particlesExtreme temperatures (hot and cold)Outdoor weather conditions and vibrationNoise level is typically loud.Redbarn® Pet Products, complies with federal and state disability laws and makes reasonable accommodations for applicants and employees with disabilities.
