The SLP supports students' academic success by evaluating, diagnosing, and providing therapy services in compliance with federal, state, and district regulations.Primary PurposeAssess and provide intervention for students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in accordance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Texas Education Agency (TEA) guidelines, and district procedures.QualificationsEducation / Certification:Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited universityValid Texas license as a Speech-Language Pathologist issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR)Valid Texas SBEC certification as a Speech-Language PathologistCertificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferredSpecial Knowledge / Skills:Knowledge of IDEA, special education procedures, and ARD processesStrong assessment, diagnostic, and therapy planning skillsAbility to develop and implement IEP goalsStrong communication and collaboration skillsAbility to maintain accurate documentation and confidentiality Experience:Experience in a school-based setting preferred Major Responsibilities and DutiesAssessment & EvaluationConduct speech and language evaluations and re-evaluationsInterpret evaluation data and prepare comprehensive reportsParticipate in ARD/IEP meetings and provide recommendationsTherapy & InterventionProvide direct and indirect speech therapy services as outlined in IEPsDevelop measurable IEP goals aligned with student needsMonitor and document student progress Compliance & DocumentationMaintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with IDEA and TEA requirementsEnsure service logs, evaluation timelines, and reports meet regulatory standards Collaboration & Professional ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with teachers, administrators, and related service providersCommunicate effectively with parents regarding student progressParticipate in professional development and district meetings Working ConditionsPhysical Demands:Frequent sitting, standing, and use of therapy materialsMental Demands:Ability to manage caseload responsibilities and meet compliance deadlines Why Join Greenville ISDSupport student communication and academic growthWork in a collaborative special education teamOpportunities for professional development and growthMake a lasting impact on student success
