Jarraff Operator : Scottsville, KY

Jarraff Operator The Jarraff Operator operates heavy equipment of various types to remove branches and tree material from electrical lines. Must have past experience operating a Jarraff for this position.Essential functions include following and enforcing safe practices, assisting in preparing equipment and materials, operating equipment as directed, maintaining and repairing equipment, assisting other crew members, cleaning up debris, setting up barriers and warning signs, staying informed on new equipment and practices, tracking and reporting mileage, and performing duties for storm work as needed.Supervisory responsibilities include no direct reports.Experience requirements include prior heavy equipment operating experience in electric utility vegetation management, construction, logging, landscaping, mechanical, or military industries preferred.Education requirements include a high school diploma or education equivalent preferred.Knowledge, skills, and abilities include knowledge of daily maintenance and safe operations of all equipment, physical strength and good balance, ability to work outdoors under varying weather conditions, ability to hear verbal instructions, first-aid certification and CPR, wearing necessary personal protective equipment (PPE), good vision and attentiveness, driver's license and CDL and DOT Medical Card for driving positions, ability to write, read, and comprehend job instructions, maintaining balance over uneven terrain, communication skills, endurance for an eight or ten hour day, and ability to travel for storm restoration work.Position requires passing a background check and drug screen. Work authorization requirements include meeting I-9 requirements.
