DescriptionRole:Responsible for activities to promote growth of the Investment Group and to accomplish management’s objectives of attracting new business and expanding the acceptance and influence of the Investment Group.Hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm Monday through Friday, evenings and weekends as neededLocation: (In Person) 3701 SW Wanamaker Road, Topeka, KansasEssential Functions & ResponsibilitiesReaches Sales Goals Through Managing Personal ActivitySells insurance and investment products such as annuities, mutual funds, life insurance, and long term care insurance Has a strong desire to build a fee-based investment advisory business subject to the highest ethical standardsRefers banking products to account executivesIn partnership with the Supervisor, creates performance goals on direct sales and referrals while driving outcomes towards achieving the desired resultsManages weekly activity: prospecting, appointment levels and selling levelsMaintains clean sales practice and ensures all actions conform to bank plans and policiesMaintains and up to date understanding of basic tax rules as they relate to retirement and estate planningBuilds and Maintains Outstanding Bank and Branch RelationsMotivates and encourages staff to gain confidence, maintain a positive performance and obtain referralsReciprocates with bank/branch staff on referrals; ensures all investment customers have an account with the bankWillingness to work in a team environment Communicates with staff and branch managers individually and through staff meetingsAssists in training the staff both one-on-one and through meetings Builds and Maintains Great Customer ServiceBuilds long-term relationship with customersDeliver financial advice in an ethical and client focused mannerFinds assets for future businessTies into good bank-branch relationsProvides excellent customer service and contributes toward meeting the bank’s missionPlease note this description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice.RequirementsExperience: EducationTwo years of investment-related sales experience strongly preferredCollege degree in relevant field preferred but not required Willingness to continuously learn and advance knowledge base of industry regulations and changesLicensesSeries 6 and 63, 65, or 66 securities licenses preferredSeries 7 securities license preferredWill be required to pass and obtain the Series 7 license Interpersonal SkillsA significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and may be of a personal or sensitive nature when working through escalations.
