Manufacturing Maintenance / Building Technician

Position SummaryThe Manufacturing Maintenance / Building Technician is responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance activities to support safe, efficient, and reliable manufacturing and facility operations. This role installs, troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains production machinery and building systems using preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance practices to support business objectives.This position may function as a Maintenance Technician or based on experience, assume Maintenance Lead responsibilities that include coordination of work, vendor oversight, and project leadership.Key Responsibilities Maintenance Lead Responsibilities (as Assigned)Provide daily direction and work prioritization to maintenance techniciansCoordinate maintenance schedules, work orders, and project timelinesOrder parts, materials, and supplies to support production and facility needsIdentify, vet, negotiate with, and manage external vendors and contractorsCoordinate facility upgrades, equipment repairs, and capital improvementsPlan, prioritize, and manage maintenance projects from start to completionSchedule and ensure completion of all preventative maintenance (PMs)Maintain documentation for equipment operation, maintenance procedures, and PM recordsIdentify and implement improvements to enhance safety, efficiency, and productivityPartner closely with Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) personnelTrain technicians and employees on equipment operation and safety proceduresEnsure compliance with safety audits, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), authorized employee training, and equipment master listsPerform all essential functions of the Maintenance Technician roleMaintenance Technician ResponsibilitiesInstall, maintain, and repair production machinery and facility equipmentRespond to emergency and unscheduled equipment repairs during productionPerform scheduled preventative and corrective maintenanceTroubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systemsRead and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, and schematicsDiagnose issues, replace or repair components, test equipment, and make adjustmentsPerform regular PMs on machinery, equipment, and facility systemsUse hand tools, power tools, meters, and material handling equipment safelyMaintain clean, organized, and safe work areasBuild and install equipment, fixtures, and facility improvementsSupport maintenance projects and tasks as assigned by Maintenance LeadershipWork weekends and overtime as neededDemonstrate a strong team-oriented mindset and willingness to learn new skillsParticipate in classroom and on-the-job trainingPerform other duties as assignedQualificationsExperience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance preferredStrong mechanical aptitude with exposure to electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systemsAbility to troubleshoot and repair production equipmentFamiliarity with preventative maintenance programsAbility to read technical documentation and schematicsStrong organizational and communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamLeadership experience preferred for Maintenance Lead responsibilitiesPhysical RequirementsRegularly required to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 12 hours)Ability to squat, kneel, reach, and use hands for tools and controlsAbility to lift and/or move up to 60 poundsVision requirements include close vision, distance vision, and focus adjustmentAbility to communicate verbally and hear in an industrial environmentReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functionsWork EnvironmentManufacturing and facility environment with moving mechanical partsOccasional exposure to fumes, dust, or airborne particlesModerate noise levels typical of a manufacturing operationIndoor, climate-variable production and facility spacesBenefits401(k) with company matchMedical, Dental, and Vision InsuranceHealth Savings Account (HSA)Life InsurancePaid Time Off (PTO)Additional InformationThis job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of duties.
